Our Unlimited package gives you genuinely unlimited downloads. We promise not to restrict the amount you can download in any month, there is no secret number.
With all of our packages we do apply our traffic management policy - this prioritises certain traffic over others according to the time of the day and ensures our service is fair for everybody. More detail on our traffic management policy can be found here - but rest assured our traffic management policy is not triggered by the amount you have downloaded.
Connection & set-up:
Broadband activation fee of £36 applies to all new National Broadband customers.
All new connections are subject to a 12 month minimum term when you buy online. If you cancel during the minimum contract period you will incur an early termination charge, and if you transfer to another provider without using a MAC you may also have to pay a disconnection fee.
Broadband connection speeds are dependent on a number of factors, such as the distance between your telephone exchange to your house and the line quality, so whilst your broadband speed can vary, Virgin Media National Broadband will always give you the maximum connection speed available based on these factors.
Acceptable Use Policy:
You need to know that we operate an Acceptable Use Policy http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/legal/oncable/acceptableuse.html and a Subscriber Traffic Management Policy http://www.virgin.net/allyours/faqs/trafficmanagement.shtml which enable us to manage our heaviest users' traffic during peak times. This enables us to continue to offer top quality services at great value to our customers.
The wireless kit is provided at no additional charge, subject to availability, and is only available to new broadband customers. Only one wireless kit is available per customer.
£6.99 wireless kit postage and packaging fee applies to all new subscriptions.
Wireless kit warranty: wireless kit will be free from defects in design, manufacture or materials except where caused by fair wear and tear for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery. During the warranty period we shall at our option replace or repair the wireless kit free of charge provided that it has been kept, used and maintained in strict accordance with instructions given to you by us or the manufacturer and has not been modified or altered. Warranty not applicable if: (a) the defect is due to interference with or maintenance of the wireless kit by persons other than us or our authorised representatives; (b) the defect is of a minor nature which does not substantially affect the use of the wireless kit. We have the right to charge for replacement or repair of defects not covered by our warranty. Warranty provisions do not affect your statutory rights in relation to the description and quality of goods and services. Zero-rated tariff applies to the first hour of direct-dialled local and national geographic voice calls only (numbers beginning 01, 02 or 03) starting within the time periods indicated. You will be charged after that, see full rates for further details. Re-dial before the 60th minute to avoid call charges. There's no connection fee on zero-rated calls. Connection fees apply to all other chargeable calls. Standard rates and connection fees apply to all other chargeable calls.
