My connection
This section allows you to update your connection settings. These tell your computer your username, password and key Virgin Media details like Internet and email servers and the number to dial when you connect to the Internet or download your emails.
You should update your settings if:
you need to set up your Virgin Media account on your computer
you've changed or upgraded your computer
you've deleted or changed your Internet connection settings
You can update these yourself (we'll give you all the information you need) or you can use our update program to download your settings.
If you need to re-install your connection settings, you will need the following information:
Email:
Your Virgin Media email address
Username:
Your Virgin Media username (the bit before the @ in your email address)
Your phone number:
The phone number you registered for your Virgin Media service
POP logon name:
The bit before the @ in your email address
POP logon password:
The same as your Virgin Media password
POP server:
pop.virgin.net
SMTP server:
smtp.virgin.net
IP address:
Make sure 'Obtain IP address automatically' is selected in the Dial-up Connection properties > Networking box.
DNS server:
Make sure 'Obtain DNS server address automatically' is selected in the Dial-up Connection properties > Networking box.
News server:
news.virgin.net
Search domain:
virgin.net
Dial up Internet numbers
Pay As You Go:
0844 0544 020 (Internet calls are charged at 4p per minute during the daytime, evening and weekend, if you have a BT line.)

Contact the call centre on your usual support number
Broadband customers only
Broadband login:
Add @adsl.virgin.net to your Virgin Media username
