National

Activation of your National service

You should note that you do not receive the National service straight away - the whole process normally takes around 7 - 10 days but can occasionally take longer if changing your line from ISDN/ Home Highway. Please note that even if you have had an activation date confirmed whether or not you’ll be able to receive the service is subject to further checks by BT. We’ve outlined below what happens after you’ve submitted your registration form.

What happens next?

If my order is accepted, will I definitely be able to receive the service?

Where can I find updates on my broadband order?

What if I change my mind and want to cancel my registration before my activation date?

When and where will my National Starter Kit be delivered?

Can I track the progress of my National Starter Kit order?

Do I have to be at home when my National Starter Kit is delivered?

What if my National Starter Kit doesn't arrive by my activation date?

What happens on the day my line is activated?

Can I change my activation date?

Can I use my existing (dial-up) account in between registration and activation?

Check list: what should I do between registration and activation?
