How to set up your Virgin Media Broadband connection under Windows

1) Insert the BroadBand installation CD into your CD-ROM drive.

Note: The SpeedTouch modem should NOT be plugged into the computer at this time.

The CD should automatically start the setup program. If not, double click your 'My Computer' icon, then double click the CD-ROM icon. This is usually (D:). For Windows XP click the 'Start' menu then 'My Computer' icon, then double click the CD-ROM icon.

2) Click 'Next' to start the installation process, then 'Yes' to accept the license agreement.

3) Click 'Next' to install the modem files and then 'Next' again to create a modem program icon.

4) Click 'Finish' to complete software installation.

5) Connect the modem to an available USB port on your computer, then plug the other connector lead into the data socket on your ADSL box. Once this is done, one of the two lights on the modem will flash green and the other will turn solid red. After about 5 or 10 seconds, both lights should turn a solid green.

You should be be connected via your Virgin Media Broadband line.

We recommend that you unplug your old modem from the telephone line to prevent this from connecting.
