| To check your username and password are entered correctly: |
- Double click on the Alcatel Speedtouch/Virgin Broadband icon on your desktop as if you were dialling up to the Internet using Virgin Broadband.
- A connection box will appear. If necessary, click 'Cancel' to stop your connection.
- Your username and password will be displayed in this box. Your password will be masked by asterisks for security reasons.

| Your username |
| Your broadband login is also based on part of your email address, but it includes 'adsl.' between the @ and the virgin.net. For example, if your email address was joe.bloggs@virgin.net, your broadband username would be joe.bloggs@adsl.virgin.net. You only need to use your broadband login when you set up your modem. |

| Your password |
Your password is represented by asterisks for security reasons, but you can re-enter your password in the connection box. Remember that it's case sensitive:
- If there is a tick in the 'Save password' box, click on the tick to remove it.
- Type your password into the password field.
- Click in the 'Save password' box again. Your password settings have now been updated.
