New Virgin Media customers
The date that you register with Virgin Broadband becomes your billing date. You will be charged regular monthly payments on this date (please note that payments are taken a month in advance).
Existing Virgin Media customers
If you're new to Virgin Broadband or have changed package from Virgin Media Pay As You Go:
Your billing date will be the day of the month that your broadband account is activated. So if your broadband account is activated on the 10th of the month, you will be billed for your broadband service on the 10th of every month.
If you've switched from Virgin Media 24seven:
Your billing date won't change, so if you're currently billed on the 1st of every month, it will remain the same. However you may notice that your first monthly payment is not for the regular amount.
This is because:
- It may include a part payment for the period between your activation date and your next billing date.
- It includes the next month's payment in advance.
- It will also include a refund, if appropriate, from your Virgin Media 24seven service.
The following month's bill will go back to your normal monthly charge.
Moving from one Virgin Broadband Plan to another:
If you wish to change between Plans, you can. Your billing date won’t change - so, if you’re currently billed on the 1st of every month, you’ll continue to be billed on that date. However you may notice that your first monthly payment is not for your regular amount. This is because it will include the next month’s payment in advance. It may also include a refund, if applicable, from your previous broadband Plan. The following month’s bill will revert to your normal monthly charge.
