I am constantly being asked for my password. Why?


This section will show you how to resolve the problem of being continually asked for your password, in Outlook Express 6.
  • If Outlook Express keeps showing the following dialog box:
  • If the server is displaying 'mail.virgin.net' then you will need to retype your username and password.
  • Click into the white box to the right of 'User Name'.
  • Delete any text and type your username in lower case.
  • Click into the white box to the right of 'Password'.
  • Delete any text and type your password.
  • If the server is set to something different you will need to check your settings.
  • Click 'Cancel' and then follow the instructions on the

  • Now click on the 'OK' button.
