How do I check for new email?

This section will show you how to check to see if you have any new email messages.
  • You will need to begin from your computer's desktop. This is the first screen you usually see when your computer has fully started.
  • Open Outlook Express using your desktop alias, or from the apple menu.
  • Click on the 'Send/Receive' button:
  • You should see a progress window appear, however this will disappear quite quickly.
  • This will show you what your computer is doing during the 'Send & Receive' process:
  • If you receive any new mail, this will be placed in your 'Inbox', and appear in bold.


You have now checked for any new emails in your Virgin Media mailbox.
