How do I create a new contact?


This section will show you how to add a new contact into your address book.
  • You will need to begin from your computer's desktop. This is the first screen you usually see when your computer has fully started.
  • Open Outlook Express using your desktop alias, or from the apple menu.
  • Click on the 'Address Book' button at the top of the window:
  • You will now see all your contacts listed in the address book window as below:
  • Click on the 'New' button:
  • You will now need to fill in the information.
  • We recommend a minimum of first name and last name:
  • Now click on the square in the top left hand corner of this box to close it.
  • You will now see the full window below:
  • Now click in the email addresses box.
  • You will see the following window:
  • Type in the email address.
  • Now click on the square in the top left hand corner of this box to close it.
  • You will now be returned to the window below:
  • As we can see the email address has now been added.
  • Click on the 'Save' button at the top, and then close this window.
  • You will now see your new contact added to your address book as below:


You have now added a contact to your contact list in Outlook Express.
