How to upload files using Fetch.

This section will show you how to upload files to your web space.

**You must be connected to Virgin Media in order to connect to your FTP space**
  • The first time you open the Fetch software you will need to enter some settings.
  • You will see the following dialog box:
  • Click into the white box next to the word 'Host' and type in: upload.virgin.net
  • Click into the 'User ID' box and type in your Virgin Media user name.
  • Click into the 'Password' box and type in your Virgin Media password.
  • Leave the 'Directory' box blank.
  • Now click on the 'OK' button.
  • Your computer will now connect to the FTP server.
  • You will be able to see a list of all the files you have already uploaded to your FTP space:
  • Click on the 'Put File' button and you will see the following dialog box:
  • This is how you upload files to your FTP space.
  • Simply highlight the file you wish to upload and click the 'Open' button.
  • You will be asked to confirm this action, simply click 'OK'.


You should now be able to upload files to your web space and view them on the Internet as a normal web page.
